Objectives:

At the completion of the subject students will be able to examine historical shifts in medical thought and practice, and understand the social and political influences on medical research and medical care.

Content:

Historical analysis of shifts in medical thought and practice, and of the social and political influences on medical research and medical care.

Assessment:

Written work of up to 5000 words.
