Subject Description:

This subject will examine a range of theories of imperialism, colonisation and world-systems, from classical Marxism to Dependency Theory, social formations theory and post-colonialism. Theories will be considered in relation to empirical colonial situations.

Assessment:

Written work amounting to no more than 6000 words.
