Objectives:

By the end of the subject, students should be able to:

  • demonstrate a firm understanding of the relevant areas of the Russian language;

  • describe particular sections of the system in appropriate linguistic terms;

  • relate the Russian system to other languages that they have studied.

Content:

Russian phonology and morphology. Theory and practice.

Assessment:

Regular assignments totalling up to 3000 words; two 1-hour tests.
