126-142/242/342 Beginners Swedish B

Prerequisite/s:

Beginners Swedish A.

Contact:

Five classes a week, including an hour in the language laboratory.

Objectives:

Students who complete this subject should:

  • At the conclusion of the subject the students should: be able to communicate in spoken and written Swedish within the compass of a minimum vocabulary of 2000 words; have an appropriate command of Swedish language within interpersonal and informational domains; have a basic understanding of formal and colloquial registers of Swedish within a contextual setting; have achieved the level of language competency required for admittance into Intermediate Swedish A.

Content:

A continuation of the work done in Beginners Swedish.

Assessment:

Written work and language tests of not more than 4000 words.
