Beginners German B or equivalent.

Contact:

Six hours a week of intermediate language study

Objectives:

At the conclusion of the subject students will have:

  • explored all major facets of the grammar of German;

  • increased their vocabulary to a moderate level of complexity in the speaking, aural understanding, reading and writing of German;

  • achieved the level of competency required for admittance into Intermediate German First Year B (126-104).

Content:

Acquisition and expansion of language skills through intensive language training.

Assessment:

One three-hour language test (50%), a one-hour listening comprehension test (10%), and oral exam (20%), and regular vocabulary tests throughout the semester (20%).
