Objectives: | Students completing this subject should:

Content: | Environmental variability in space and time. Human responses to, and impact on, the physical landscape. An introduction to topics in Environmental Studies, such as land degradation, global warming and social perceptions of environmental change. Development of basic skills in the analysis and interpretation of primary data, such as remote sensing. | |
Assessment: | Up to 2000 words of written work, including assignments, field report and continuously assessed practical work; plus a 2-hour end-of-semester examination. Weighting of assessment items will be announced at the beginning of the semester. | |
