A pass in 116-184/284/384 Italian Part 1: Contemporary Italian Society and Culture 2.

Semester 1

Contact:

A maximum of three hours of language classes and two hours of cultural/literary studies each week

Content:

Students will focus on the spoken and written language of present-day Italy; they will undertake regular exercises in composition and translation, and participate in regular conversation practice for the purpose of reinforcing their command of current idiomatic Italian. an aspect of contemporary Italian culture will be studied in some depth.

Assessment:

Not more than three hours of written tests. One 1500-word essay. Continuous assessment.
