116-228/328 French Reading Course for Beginners

Content:

Development of reading comprehension skills in French through study of basic French grammar and vocabulary. Exploration of a range of reading strategies in conjunction with the study of a variety of texts, some general, some related to students' specific fields of study. Introduction to translation.

Assessment:

Take home assignments (in total not more than 2000 words (40 %); written tests not totalling more than 3 hours (60 %).
