Content: | A close study of film texts in relation to key psychoanalytic concepts with emphasis on Jungian archetypal theory; the Lacanian concept of the mirror phase; and Freudian theories of the dream work, sexual difference, primal scenes, and the uncanny. | |
Assessment: | Written work which may comprise class papers, essays, visual tests or take-home examinations totalling about 6000 words. | |
