Subject Description:

The sculpture, painting and architecture of the Hellenistic world of Greece and the Roman Republic in the last three centuries BC. Students on completion of the subject should have acquired an understanding of the main aspects of Hellenistic and Roman Art, the evidence for the periods and the necessary skills for the interpretation of this evidence.

Assessment:

3000 words of written work (50%) and a 2-hour examination (50%).
