702-484 Compositional Analysis

Subject Description:

The relationship between architectural theory and form, architecture as cultural practice, concepts of stylistic consistency and ideology as manifestations of architectural theory. An investigation of the literature, issues, and practices in architectural theory and compositional analysis, and have development of basic research and analytical representation skills in the subject area. Study of a topic of each student's own choice with approval of the Coordinator.

Assessment:

Drawn compositional analyses, project work and reports up to the equivalent of 7500 words to be submitted in accordance with the program of study.
