Up to 6 hours of lectures, tutorials, studio and laboratory work, and site visits per week

Subject Description:

Documentation practices, including: design development; contract documentation; specification writing; bills of quantities; coordination of consultants, contractors and authorities; and the management of the documentation process in a design office and on site. Identification and analysis of structural systems for medium-scaled buildings.

Assessment:

Assignments (e.g. exercises, essays, class presentations), equivalent to not more than 5000 words, and one examination of up to 2 hours (which could take the form of a class test). Exercises may relate to work being undertaken in other subjects.
