Objectives: | The objective of this subject is to enable students to:

Content: | An introduction to the Australian legal system with special emphasis on commercial aspects. The law of contract and formation of a contract. Business entity alternatives and the advantages, disadvantages and legal responsibilities of each. Business regulations focusing on the Trade Practices Act and the requirements it places on business and the rights of consumers. | |
Assessment: | Two hour examination (50%); two case studies (15% each); oral presentation (20%). | |
