Objectives: | The objective of this subject is to enable students to understand:

Content: | Introduction to and study of the components and technology of agricultural production systems as they apply to the dairy, pig, broad acre and horticulture industries; Application of biological and financial concepts; soils; mechanisation; environmental controls. Whilst all industries will be discussed, greater emphasis will be placed upon the broad acre and horticulture industries. | |
Assessment: | 1000 word assignment and a plant collection (20% each); two hour examination (60%) | |
