625-213 Geophysics and Remote Sensing

On completion of this subject, students should:

Content:

Interpretation of aerial photographs and digital imagery; use of the electromagnetic spectrum in remote sensing; data acquisition and analysis. Theory and practice of gravity, magnetic, electrical, electromagnetic and seismic geophysical methods; inversion and interpretation of data.

Assessment:

A 2-hour end-of-semester written examination; a 2-hour practical examination or reports totalling up to 1,500 words.
