Research studies in biomedical science under supervision in areas including cardiovascular haemodynamics, hormonal control of circulation, receptor biology including autoradiography, pharmacokinetics of antihyperteisive drugs, animal models of hypertension and heart failure, genetics of hypertension neurosciences, diabetes, bone diseases, cell biology of growth factors and diseases of the liver, gastrointestinal tract and kidney.

- Written report (thesis) at the completion of the year.
- This thesis to comprise 40 pages maximum of text. 60%
- Laboratory/research performance. 10%
