Note: Under the special circumstances in which part-time study is allowed, this must be taken concurrently over two years with 512-498 Research Project - Psychology (Part-time) (45 Points in total).

Objectives:
The objectives of Psychology Honours are to provide students with opportunities to develop:
- an understanding of a representative range of substantive areas in psychology;
- an ability to read and contribute to research in at least one area of psychology;
- some understanding of the practice and ethics of psychology in professional settings
Content:
Subjects 512-497 and 512-499 comprise:
- Five seminars. These include one optional seminar chosen from Current Issues in Quantitative; Biological or Cognitive Psychology, and one chosen from Current Issues in: Developmental; or Social Psychology. There are three compulsory seminars: Assessment and Professional Skills; Advanced Design and Data analysis; and Theories in Psychology.
Assessment:
- For all seminars: either a final examination of up to two hours at the end of the year or the conclusion of the seminar, or a practical report or an essay of up to 3,000 words in length, or any combination of these.
To successfully complete the Honours program in Psychology, students must obtain passes of 65% or better in both 512-496 and 512-497, or both 512-498 and 412-499.
