Contact: Two hours per week for one semester.
Objectives:
On completion of this subject students should have developed scholarly skill in the methods of iconographical analysis and classification, and a familiarisation with the principal scholarship in this field.
Content:
Principles and methods of classification of musical content in visual representations; analysis of art works for musicological purposes.
Assessment:
Seminar papers (50 per cent); end-of-semester project (50 per cent).
