Elective Music subject.

Prerequisite: Two Group A subjects.

Contact: Two hours per week for one semester.

Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should have an extensive knowledge of the works of the period and their place in society, a working knowledge of the musicological scholarship, theoretical and manuscript sources for the topics studied, and an ability to apply these methods to similar works.

Content:

Seminar course on topics to be advised by the Faculty

Assessment:

Seminar papers (50 per cent); end-of-semester project (50 per cent).
