740-282 Orchestration and Arrangement 2

Elective Music subject.

Credit points: 10.0

Coordinator: Dr B Broadstock; Dr S Ingham.

Prerequisite: 740-342/442 Orchestration and Arrangement 1.

Contact: 2-hours per week for one semester.

Timetable: Second semester

Objectives:

On completion of this subject students should have extended knowledge of orchestration for full orchestra and other combinations of their special interest.

Content:

Special projects in orchestration and arrangement as arranged for each student by the lecturer.

Assessment:

Regular assignments (50 per cent); end-of-semester project (50 per cent).
