Objectives:
As for Medical Biology 516-012.
Content:
Continuation of the first-year Medical Biology course. Histology: Light- and electron-microscopic structure of the respiratory, haemopoietic, lymphoid, alimentary, urogenital and endocrine systems, with emphasis on the relationships between structure and function. Developmental Biology/Embryology: Development of the head and neck, respiratory, alimentary, and urogenital systems, and the placenta.
Assessment:
A 3-hour written examination (60 per cent) three short practical tests (15 per cent) and a 30-minute practical examination (25 per cent) on material from second year. Held at the end of the semester.
