Objectives:
On completion of this subject, the student should:Comprehend: the theoretical bases, clinical application and physiotherapeutic techniques of differing approaches to the treatment of patients with neurological dysfunction, both physical and cognitive disabilities.
Have developed: the ability to choose the appropriate approach to treatment of various patients; advanced handling skills in specific approaches
Appreciate: the wide variety of approaches and concepts available in the treatment of patients with neurological dysfunction.
Content:
Advanced physiotherapy techniques including an introduction to other approaches in the treatment of the patient with neurological dysfunction. Theories and treatment of cognitive dysfunctions.
Assessment:
An assignment (up to 3,000 words) (100 per cent).
