Prerequisite: Criminal Law and Procedure.

Objectives:
Students completing this subject should: have developed their research interests in criminal law; have investigated recent developments in criminal law, especially in the academic literature.
Content:
The course is text-based, concentrating on recent articles and books. The selection will vary from year to year. Printed materials will be provided where necessary.
Assessment:
Essay, topic to be selected in consultation with the lecturer of 8-10,000 words (100 per cent) or Two Essays of 4-5,000 words each (100 per cent).
