451-216 Surveying (Eng Cse)

At the conclusion of this subject students should:

Content:

The construction, geometrical requirements and use of surveying instruments. Methods of measurement. Recording and reduction of field data. Engineering surveying including specifications and setting out. Introduction to specialist branches of surveying including geodetic, topographic and cadastral surveying. Photogrammetry and its engineering applications.

Assessment:

One two-hour examination. The examination may be held at the conclusion of the subject. Practical work assignments will be included in the assessment.
