Objectives:
At the conclusion of this subject the student should:
- be aware of the different operating systems and computer environments which they will be exposed to during the course of their study.
Content:
An introduction to the Unix, Mactinosh and DOS/Windows operating systems; Unix, Mactinosh and IBM compatible computer environments; computer aided drafting with particular emphasis on geomatics applications.
Assessment:
Not more than two hours of written examinations and tests, and not more than the equivalent of 40 pages of written assignments and reports on practical work. The relative weighting of the assessment components will be published at the commencement of the subject.
