Objectives:
On successful completion of this subject students should:
- understand the issues involved in software project management and the factors that affect software quality
- be familiar with a range of standards, techniques and tools developed to support software project management andnd the production of high quality software
- be able to develop software project plans and supporting software quality plans.
Content:
Project management issues: project planning and scheduling; risk management; configuration management; quality assurance and accreditation; legal issues. Software quality: factors affecting software quality; planning for quality; software quality assurance plans; software measurement. Standards: Australian and international.
Assessment:
One three-hour written examination. Project work must be completed satisfactorily to pass the subject. Weighting of assessment components will be notified at the start of the subject.
