At the conclusion of this subject students should:
- understand the application of engineering design methodology to natural resources engineering
- have experience in applying the methodology
Content:
General issues relating to Natural Resources Engineering design: engineering design methodology, systems and optimization, economic analysis, environmental and social considerations, environmental impact statements and assessment, public participation. Design projects.
Assessment:
Written reports and assignments not exceeding 50 pages.
