Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course students will be aware of the Engineer's responsibility to society. They will also understand the key project management functions and activities that relate to both technical and management engineering practice.
Content:
Role and responsibility of the engineer in construction, planning, management and design. Social responsibility and professional ethics. Civil engineering contracts and documents. Planning with bar charts. CPM and PERT. Professional Practice in consulting and contracting, both office and field.
Assessment:
A two-hour examination.
