Spanish

Overview

Spanish subjects are available by special arrangement with La Trobe University's Spanish Department. Special enrolment arrangements apply and full details may be obtained from the Education Faculty Office. In all subjects special emphasis is placed on the practical acquisition of the language its written and spoken form.

The language stream or level in which you enrol will be determined by the department. Placement will be based on your VCE results, other language study record or a placement test. However, your enrolment will remain provisional until confirmed or, alternatively, altered in the light of experience gained during the first weeks of teaching. As far as possible, changes will be notified in the first two weeks of the semester.

Note: Students who successfully complete Spanish IC 2 and meet the prerequisite requirements for Spanish IIA will normally enrol in Spanish IIA in their second year. Those students who do not meet these requirements will enrol in Spanish IIC. In all cases, students of Spanish IC 2 should consult with Departmental advisers before enrolling in second-year Spanish.

The following subjects will be taught at the Melbourne University campus in 1996 (daytime).
