Overview

Information Management subjects are available to students enrolled in the BEd (Secondary) and BSocSc (InfoMgt) courses. The Information Management sequence is currently being phased out.

Information Management A1, or an approved equivalent subject, will be available in 1996 for repeating students. Second year subjects will also be available in 1996 for repeating students. Please refer to the Education Faculty Office for details.

In order to take Teaching Method in Business Studies D (Information Management), students must have completed Information Management B1 and B4, or approved equivalents. In order to take Teaching Method in Business Studies D (Business Management) students must have completed Information Management B8 and one of B6, C1, C2, or approved equivalents.

The completion of other Information Management C-level subjects will provide a three-year specialisation which is an advantage for both teaching and working in the field of commerce.

Information Management C7 (Information Management Law) and C11, C12, C13, C14 (Supervised Professional Practice) are only available to students enrolled in the BSocSc (InfoMgt) course.

Students enrolled in the BSoccSc (InfoMgt) course are expected to gain a pass or credit in IMC11 before enrolment in the subjects IMC1, C2, C3, C5, C6 and C7.
