Elementary Stream Music subject.

Prerequisite: 33.3 points of Music B or C subjects.
Contact: Equivalent to three hours each week.
Timetable: Double semester.
Objectives:
On completion of this subject students should be able to:
- research, in depth, aspects of music education associated with their particular field of music endeavour; and
- demonstrate strength in an area of musical studies where they may feel a little weak, to assist them in their future teaching/performing career.
Content:
In-depth research into aspects of music education associated with the student's field of music endeavour; consolidation of musical studies that will assist in a future teaching/performing career.
Assessment:
A research folio or thesis (maximum 5,000 words) (40 per cent); fulfilment of any contracted rehearsals, performance, organisational involvement and/or assignments (60 per cent). Students must complete all assignments and projects.
