485-379 Mathematics C5: Individual Reading and Study Course

Note: This subject is normally only available to students to enable completion of a qualification. Each student must negotiate an Individual Educational Program (IEP) with the Head of the Department of Science and Mathematics Education. The IEP will be supervised by a member of the Division of Mathematics and Computer Education.

Credit points: 25.0

Coordinator: To be advised.

Prerequisite: 485-183 Foundation Studies in Mathematics together with at least 25 points of other mathematics study or the equivalent.

Contact: As negotiated in the IEP.

Timetable: Double semester.

On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Each IEP must give details about the content to be covered, the appropriate books to be read/studied, the length of time to be committed and number of points for the program, the assessment details and the number of hours of regular contact to be made between the supervisor and the student.
