Prerequisite: 58.3 credit points in Philosophy subjects, or approved equivalent. Students must obtain specific approval from the lecturer-in-charge prior to enrolment.

Timetable: Double semester.
Objectives:
On completion of this subject students should be able to:
- develop a meaningful program of study for themselves;
- work effectively on their own; and
- identify appropriate methods of philosophical research on topics of specific interest to themselves.
Content:
Students will negotiate an appropriate topic, study program and format for their study report with their supervisor.
Assessment:
A project report of approximately 5000 to 6,000 words or equivalent in a format as negotiated (100 per cent).
