Prerequisite: Completion of at least 175.0 points in the course.
Contact: A minimum of 18 weeks of approved, relevant employment, supervised by both a workplace and an academic supervisor.
Timetable: Summer or first or second semester.
Objectives:
On completion of this subject students should be able to:
- master the job application procedures required to gain a position of employment;
- satisfactorily perform the duties as outlined in the position description/job goals;
- function effectively as a support team member;
- communicate effectively using oral and written media;
- display skill competency in assigned computer and/or information based activities; and
- display knowledge and understanding of the local work environment and relevant business operations.
Content:
Supervised professional practice within an approved workplace.
Assessment:
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 18 weeks' supervised professional practice.
