Objectives:
On completion of this subject students should be able to:
- demonstrate a knowledge of a range of poetic techniques;
- demonstrate a knowledge of a range of prose-fiction techniques; and
- demonstrate an ability to write effective original prose fiction and poetry.
Content:
A study of, and practice in, poetry and short story writing for both children and adults.
Assessment:
A folio of original creative writing of 5,000 words (100 per cent).
