The Associate Diploma in Training and Development is a two year full-time or equivalent part-time course designed to develop the knowledge and skills of trainers, training managers and consultants within industry, commerce, the TAFE sector and government enterprises.
This course is being phased out over the next few years. The last intake into the course was in 1995. All currently enrolled students will be able to complete the requirements of the Associate Diploma in Training and Development if normal academic progress is maintained.

On completion of the Associate Diploma in Training and Development diplomates should be able to:
Normally, you will study at least two years as a full-time student, or at least four years as a part-time student, unless otherwise approved. Candidates shall normally complete the course within six years of commencing the course.
The total number of points which may be credited will not exceed 100 points.
To qualify for the award of Associate Diploma in Training and Development you must complete at least 200 points in the subjects of the course as detailed in the Course Outline below.

The total number of contact hours for each subject are stated in the subject description. Subjects may, as demand requires, be offered in a number of alternative modes of delivery, including weekly sessions, intensive seminars and workshops conducted during the weekend or vacation periods, through computer-mediated delivery using the network, or as a combination of one or more of these modes.
A limited number of first year subjects are available again in 1996. Please refer to the 1995 Handbook for subject details.
