Note: Students may not gain credit for both 316-129 Business Statistics and 316-130 Quantitative Methods 1.

On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content:

Data analysis; major probability distributions; point and interval estimation; hypothesis testing; analysis of variance. Applications to Accounting, Economics and Finance.

Assessment:

A 2-hour end-of-semester examination (80 per cent) and assignment not exceeding 40 pages in total (20 per cent).
