Prerequisite: Prerequisites in any year will depend on the content and topic under examination. Students must gain the permission of the coordinator before enrolling in this subject.
Contact: Three hours of seminar per week (or equivalent)

Objectives:
On completion of this subject a student should:
- be familiar with the contemporary research work in the particular field of expertise of the presenter;
- understand both the background and the direction of future research in the particular area examined.
Content:
Content will vary according to the expertise of the particular lecturer, but will cover contemporary research developments in topics such as corporate finance, cost and management accounting, financial accounting/audit and information systems.
Assessment:
The equivalent of 3,000 words of assessment which may take the form of an open book examination or some suitable substitute.
