Year 4 Actuarial Studies.

Prerequisite: Entry into the Honours Program in Actuarial Studies
Timetable: Double semester
Objectives:
At the end of this subject a student should be able to:
- initiate and undertake a small actuarial research project;
- give a good written presentation of research findings;
- present a clear mathematical argument (where appropriate).
Content:
The research essay of at most 10,000 words will be on a topic approved by the Head of Department.
Assessment:
The research essay is examined. It must be submitted by the end of the second semester.
