920-106 Spanish IIIb: Practical Spanish and Spanish and Latin American Cutlure

Credit points: 33.3 3rd year

Coordinator: Dr Robert Archer.

Prerequisite: Spanish IIB or IC or Chairperson's approval.

Contact: Four hours a week: two practical language classes and two tutorials. The 2 hour practical language class is offered at the University of Melbourne subject to minimum enrolments. The two 1 hour tutorials are held at La Trobe University.

Timetable: Double semester

Content:

Further development of language skills and the study of Hispanic literature. A study of representative written texts, cinema and recent television and radio materials.

Assessment:

Four 1000-word essays (40%); coursework and participation (30%); two semester tests (30%).
