196-400 Social Work Honours Thesis

Credit points: 33.3 4th year

Coordinator: Dr F McDermott.

Prerequisite: entry to honours. This requires a student to have honours grades in each of the following subjects: Human Behaviour and Social Environment for Social Work Practice 1 and 2; Social Work and Social Change 1 and 2; Social Work Theory and Practice 1 and 2. An overall average of not less than H2A must be obtained. A student who has a failure grade will not be considered eligible. A student who has not passed Field Education 2 will not be considered eligible.

Contact: regular supervision and 20 hours seminar attendance.

Timetable: Double semester.

Content:

an agreed topic.

Assessment:

An honours thesis of up to 12,000 words.
