Timetable: Mid-semester break and second semester
Objectives:
By the end of Field Education 3, it is expected that students will be able to demonstrate knowledge skills in the following areas, and practise with the degree of autonomy and competence expected of a new graduate:
- The context of practice.
- Communication.
- Data collection, analysis and assessment.
- Intervention planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Capacity for professional development.
Content:
Advanced social work practice experience in a social agency, supervised by the agency and this department. The placement includes five two hour integrative seminars.
Assessment:
Assessment by Examination Board based on two reports written by the field teacher in consultation with the student, and a report written by the Faculty liaison person.
