191-332/432 Medico-Legal Criminology

Prerequisite: 3rd year: Any two second year level Criminology subjects; 4th year: Admission to Criminology Honours.

Content:

An examination of criminal behaviour relating to medical practice, including an analysis of certain medical theories of offending, the involvement of medicine in criminal justice agencies, the professional regulation of medicine, and consideration of various criminal offences related to medical practice.

Assessment:

Up to 5,000 words of written work at 3rd year level and 6,000 words at 4th year level. An examination may be substituted for part of the written work.
