Credit points: 16.7 2nd and 3rd years

Coordinator: Ms Anne de Kretser.

Prerequisite: Intensive Beginners' Japanese, Beginners' Japanese, or equivalent.

Contact: Six hours a week throughout the semester.

Timetable: First semester

Content:

Intermediate grammar and syntex taught where possible in situational contexts using multi-media materials. Emphasis is on developing communicative competence.

Assessment:

Oral and written weekly class exercises (20%); one 2-hour test (40%), two oral tests (20%) and two aural tests (20% each).
