Objectives:
By the end of the subject, students should:
- understand the main phonological, grammatical and semantic features of Australian Aboriginal languages;
- have acquired a detailed analytic knowledge of a particular Aboriginal language.
Content:
An investigation of the features of Australian Aboriginal languages, through the study of a particular Aboriginal language.
Assessment:
Four assignments and an essay totalling no more than 5,000 words.
