Content:
An introduction to international politics in the post-Cold War Asia-Pacific, with particular reference to the roles of the US, China and Japan. There will be some focus on US-Japan, US-China and China-Japan relations. Additional topics will normally selected from: Russia's role, Indo-China, ASEAN, the Korean conflict, APEC.
Assessment:
Essay work or equivalent totalling 5,000 words.
