Objectives:
On conclusion of the subject students will have attained an appropriate level of understanding of scholastic texts which will enable them to undertake studies in their own fields of interest.
Content:
The format of the subject is the same as Japanese 6A. All the classes will be conducted entirely in Japanese. The subject will continue to develop further skills in both reading and speaking.
Assessment:
Third Year: Assignments and quizzes totalling not more than 2,500 words in written work; one 2-hour written examination; one oral/aural perception test (maximum 30 minutes). Fourth Year: Assignments and quizzes totalling not more than 2,500 words in written work; one 2-hour written examination; one oral/aural perception test (maximum 30 minutes); one translation exercise (equivalent to not more than 1,000 words in written work).
