Objectives:
By the end of the subject students should be able to:
- apply the principles of linguistics to the analysis of Chinese
- have acquired an understanding of some major linguistic characteristics of Chinese in the areas of Phonology and Morphology.
Content:
A linguistic approach to Chinese.
Assessment:
One assignment, one tutorial paper and one essay up to a total of 5,000 words.
