Objectives:
By the end of the subject students will have gained a broad grounding in research methods and materials for Chinese studies. They will have learned to read the unsimplified script and practise literary translation from Chinese to English.

An introduction to the materials and methodology for undertaking research on China.

Written work not exceeding 5,000 words.
