Objectives:
Students who complete this subject should be able to grasp the remaining basic functions/grammar of the language; acquire more balanced speaking, reading and writing skills.
Content:
A further study in spoken Japanese will be made in this subject. Students will be exposed to more rigorous studies to expand reading and writing skills. Students will be expected to learn an additional 100 characters.
Assessment:
Regular assignments and quizzes totalling not more than 3,500 words (1st year level)/2,500 words (2nd year level) in written work; one 2-hour written examination; one oral/aural perception test (maximum 30 minutes).
